Summary

The Marketing Communications Specialist plays a key role within the company. The successful candidate should describe themselves as a creative writer with a marketing degree and strong Adobe skills. Content developed would include most marketing text used within brochures, flyers, and on the website. This position will report directly to the Marketing
Manager.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Develops large amounts of copy for product release announcements and product literature
  • Works with Graphic Designer on development and maintenance of marketing literature
  • Works with outside printing vendor to ensure all orderable materials are current
  • Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Field Operations, and Product Management to fully understand product and communication needs.
  • Presents copy ideas and recommendations to Marketing Manager and Marketing team for review and consideration
  • Writes customer success stories
  • Develops 'white papers' in support of identified marketing campaigns
  • Maintains consistency of messaging across marketing collateral material
  • Supports company trade shows, signage, video scripts, and similar campaigns as required
  • Supports development of promotional material as required through effective messaging for flyers, postcards, trade show banners/signage
  • Key contributor to product positioning approach and product roll-out planning
  • Works with Graphic Designer to develop and distribute the annual awards brochure.
  • Supports corporate signage campaign as required
  • Other projects as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Well Organized and detail oriented
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to work well with other(s) - individuals and functions
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Comfortable working with MS Office 365 suite

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or similar (will consider equivalent work experience)
  • Strong Adobe Suite skills
  • Three to five years of related experience writing and editing projects; portfolio of relevant previous projects highly
    preferred.
  • Comfortable in an office environment
  • Works independently with minimal daily oversight
